Communications Specialist/Partnership Program Coordinator
The Cancer Information Service (CIS), based at Memorial Sloan Kettering
Cancer, is a program of the National Cancer Institute, the Nation's lead
agency for cancer research. CIS is a national resource for information
and education about cancer and leader in translating cancer information
into terms the public can easily understand.
In this position you will be responsible for coordinating, implementing
and reinforcing cancer education and awareness activities for the
National Cancer Institute's Cancer Information Service Program. You
will also provide technical promotional assistance to regional and local
cancer control organizations and to the CIS Partnership Program Staff.
Specifically, you will assist partners in designing, implementing and
evaluating cancer education programs, specially those focused on
reaching minorities and medically underserved populations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in health education, health communications,
health marketing, social work or health administration and 2 years
experience in implementation and evaluation of health education,
outreach and/or promotional programs. Superior verbal and written
communications skills required. Must be computer literate. Some travel
required. We strongly prefer bilingual candidates, English/Spanish.
